Maverick

Maverick Gaming, owned by former Las Vegas gaming executives Eric Persson and Justin Beltram, has bought the Macau Casinos in Lakewood and in Tukwilla, the Caribbean in Kirkland and the Caribbean Cardroom in the same city, plus the Caribbean Casino in Yakima.

This brings the Maverick holdings to 18 card rooms and 275 table games in Washington. The company proposes to buy another five properties in the coming weeks, also in Washington.

Maverick’s principals are also expected to announce shortly their growth strategy that will include a comprehensive entertainment product including restaurants, hotel rooms, meeting places and table games.

Said Maverick Washington president Tim Merrill: “We are quickly becoming an employer of choice in Washington. With over 3,000 jobs, with an average salary above $75,000 and great benefits, we have a great team and are looking forward to investing another $100m into this state over the next few years.”
