Casinos won $2.4bn at the tables in the first 14 days of October, well more than half of August’s record of $3.7bn as tourists crowded Macau during Golden Week and VIPs followed them last week.

Cameron McKnight of Wells Fargo raised his October revenue growth estimate to 25 per cent from 17-23 per cent. Revenues last week fell just 36 per cent following Golden Week. Historically, they fall 50 per cent, he said.
