The Macau government collected MOP8bn (US$1bn) in gaming revenue tax during November, up 20.35 per cent from the previous month and 6.4 per cent yearly.

This equates with the post-Covid peak in gross gaming revenue registered in October, of MOP20.78bn ($2.6bn).

According to the latest data from the Financial Services Bureau (DSF), total tax on gaming revenue during the first 11 months of 2024 totaled MOP81.04bn ($10.12bn), a 37.2 per cent yearly rise.

The figure amounts to 80.64 per cent of the total revenue for the government during the 11-month period, which totaled MOP100.49bn ($12.55bn).
