A softening trend continues in Macau’s gross gaming revenue, which reached MOP18.86bn (US$2.35bn) in April, showing a modest 4.1 per cent month-on-month decrease.

Despite a modest decrease, data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) indicates the April figure represents a 1.7 per cent improvement compared to April 2024.
April performance was anticipated to be resilient due to the Easter holiday period from April 18 to 21. According to the Public Security Police, Macau received 520,065 visitors during this four-day period, averaging approximately 130,000 daily arrivals.
