Grupo Codere and William Hill have applied for the first sports betting licence in Spain as a 50-50 joint venture.
The companies have presented the definitive documentation, which will authorise the legal operation to become the first company in Spain to provide a sports betting service, to Edmundo Ahijon, general gaming direction of Madrid Council, and will provide their services in Spain through the brand Victoria.
Victoria will open the first betting centre in the Spanish market and provide its services according to the regulations of the Madrid Council.
