An IGT Megahits winner scooped $1,453,960.86 in the US state of Delaware on October 24.
Playing on the Wild Sapphire MegaHits machine at Delaware Park in Stanton, the player became the first to win more than a million dollars on the wide-area progressive jackpot game. The multi-state link is available through a partnership with the Multi-State Lottery Association, IGT and the lotteries in Delaware, West Virginia and Rhode Island. MegaHits includes smaller progressive awards that hit frequently and requires the maximum bet of $3 to be eligible to win the top prize.
IGT’s Tim Shortall said: "It is a remarkable and exciting time for both the player and IGT as we award our first MegaHits jackpot and she became a new millionaire."
