In a press conference during last week's ICE show it was announced that GTECH will own the whole of Atronic by the end of this year.
GTECH, a subsidiary of Italy’s Lottomatica, completed its ongoing acquisition of 50 per cent of Atronic from the Gauselmann Group for €20m at the end of January.
It announced in London that it will acquire the remaining 50 per cent by the end of the year for €32m, subject to routine regulatory reviews and approval.
The overall transaction is expected to have a total value of €172m, of which €120m is debt.
“With the acquisition of Atronic, GTECH will become one of the top five suppliers to the worldwide gaming machine market,” said Lottomatica chairman and CEO Lorenzo Pellicioli.
