Lottomatica's wholly-owned subsidiary, Gtech Corporation, has acquired the remaining 50 per cent interest in the Atronic group of companies, which was previously owned by the Gauselmann Group. The €32m transaction completes the final stage of a two-part deal.
Gtech completed the first stage of the transaction in January 2008, when it acquired a 50 per cent controlling interest in Atronic for €20m. The overall transaction has a total value of approximately €189m, which includes approximately €137m of debt.
Gtech and Lottomatica together create a fully integrated lottery operator and gaming technology solutions provider. The combined company has worldwide scale, considerable financial strength and industry-leading customer solutions.
