Fournier Playing Cards, a leader manufacturer for casino playing cards, powered the final of the German Poker Tournament, which was hosted at Spielbank Berlin.

Fournier supplied their 100 per cent plastic playing cards to this poker event. These playing cards have been specially conceived to play Texas Hold’em and other varieties of poker that demand a playing card that can be folded thousands of times without suffering any symptoms of wearing during rounds of betting.

The final series took place between November 16 and 18, 2006, and congregated 200 participants who had qualified in the different satellites located in casinos Berlin, Bad Zwischenahn, Hamburg and Schenefeld.

The prize pool had €153,000 from which the winner received €38,250. Second place took home €27,540 and even 10th place won €4,590.

Michael Merten, casino general manager at Spielbank Berlin, declared: “I am delighted with Fournier playing cards. They are our choice because of their unmatchable performance.”
