What Macau’s casinos have done for Las Vegas Sands chief Sheldon Adelson they also are doing for Lui Che Woo, making him among the richest men in the world.
Lui has just become the richest man in China thanks to a more than doubling in the stock price of Galaxy Entertainment, Bloomberg reports. The Hong Kong construction and real estate magnate is now worth $29.6bn, as calculated in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
That still leaves him behind Adelson, who is the fifth richest American at $37bn.
