Today saw the opening of G2E Asia (Global Gaming Expo Asia) in Macau, for its 11th year.

The opening ceremony was attended by Geoff Freeman, president of the American Gaming Association and Hu Wei, president of the organisers, Reed Exhibitions Greater China and Korea.
A long list of other dignitaries accompanied them on the rostrum for the official opening of the show, which has seen this year an increase of 25 per cent in floor area with first-timer exhibitors making up one-third of the 180 standholders. Around 70 companies are showing new online gaming solutions.
The event is accompanied by a strong programme of conferences and seminars including today a white paper by PricewaterhouseCoopers on the penetration of the Japanese market.
