The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has announced that it is in talks with its bank group over possible debt restructuring options.
The tribe, which operates the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, said that like a number of other companies in the industry, it has been taking steps to make its tribal economy more efficient in light of current economic conditions.
“We have sufficient resources to continue to operate our businesses as normal and it will be business as usual,” the tribe said. “We do not anticipate that the financial restructuring being considered by the tribe will affect our employees, customers, vendors or business partners.”
