James Perry has been fired as president and CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts.

During his 61st birthday celebration at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort on Saturday, billionaire media tycoon Donald Trump announced that Perry has been let go from the executive position and will be replaced by the second-in-charge Mark Juliano.

Perry came out of retirement in 2005 to become president of Trump’s casino group, and played a major role in helping the company emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filed in the same year.

It is understood that Trump recently questioned Perry’s commitment to the business.
Juliano is an internationally recognized casino executive with a long, successful career in the gaming industry.

He was president of Caesars Atlantic City from 1994 to 1999. More recently, Juliano was president of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas before taking up position as COO for Trump Entertainment Resorts.
