Elements Casino in British Columbia, Canada, is to host and co-present the inaugural e-sports Street Fighter V Tournament on Saturday, December 3.
The event marks the grand opening of the Elements eSports Lounge, home to future e-sports activities, tournaments and events in British Columbia.
Michael Kim, general manager of Elements Casino, said: “We are absolutely thrilled about this opportunity and ecstatic to be the first casino in Canada to welcome and embrace the e-sports culture.
“I am confident that our dedicated Elements eSports Lounge will deliver an additional entertainment experience for our guests who are seeking another form of leisure or activity,” he said.
Elements has partnered with e-sports specialist Spawn Point to present the upcoming Street Fighter V Tournament with the prize pool of US$1,500.
