ELA 2011, arguably now one of the world's most important gaming shows, gets underway tomorrow at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.

Now in its fourth year, the Latin American Gaming Fair, which takes place on May 4-5, has once again drawn a host of leading domestic and international exhibitors. Having been instrumental in the launch of Class III slots and electronic table games in recent years, this year’s show is likely to see attention shift to the introduction of live table games.

No doubt a further topic up for discussion at the event will be whether 2012 will be the year that the authorities give the green light to card games, completing Mexico’s gaming offering.

Mexico’s gaming market has experienced significant development in only a short space of time and now the country boasts some of the most sophisticated gaming halls anywhere in the world. Demand for gaming continues to grow at a brisk pace, with consumers here keen to experience the very latest games and technologies.

Last year’s event was such a success that Expoazar, the organiser of the show, had to expand exhibition space for this year’s event. 2011, it seems, will further establish ELA’s place within the trade show calendar.
