Entertainment Gaming Asia has sold its gaming assets in Cambodia.
The sale includes its 278 electronic gaming machine seats placed in Dreamworld Club in Poipet, 72 EGM seats held in Cambodia storage and gaming equipment spare parts and accessories, sold to the owner of Dreamworld Club for US$900,000.
The company received the cash proceeds and the sale closed on December 23. The company also announced that it and the owner of Dreamworld Club entered into an agreement to terminate the machines operation and participation agreement among the parties.
Dreamworld was the last of the company's EGM leasing operations in Cambodia. The company's remaining EGM leasing operations consist of two venues in the Philippines.
Clarence Chung, chairman and CEO of Entertainment Gaming Asia, said: “This asset sale is part of our continued efforts to refine our business operations and position ourselves for new opportunities.”
