Gaming revenue taken by Atlantic City’s remaining eight casinos fell by five per cent in August compared to the same month last year.

Total August 2015 revenue for the casinos, including i-gambling, was approximately $258m.
The state Division of Gaming Enforcement explained the dip in revenue by saying that the traditionally busy Labour Day weekend fell in August last year, whereas this year the holiday was in September.
Atlantic City began 2014 with 12 casinos and ended with eight.
Revenue at the eight casinos this year, including internet revenue, is up 3.2 percent through August, to approximately $1.7bn.
