Finland’s slot machine association, RAY, which operates an international casino, 200 restaurant table game locations and several arcades in the country, has signed an agreement with Swedish distributor ICM.
The agreement gives ICM the right to exclusively sell playing cards to RAY. Casino Helsinki has previously had successful collaboration in several distribution channels with ICM.
The manufacturer of the playing cards is Dal Negro of Italy, which has produced cards since 1928. ICM won the public tender issued by RAY in competition with four other companies.
RAY’s vice president of casino operations, Marko Hurme, said: “We are very satisfied with the service and quality that ICM provides and we are excited to use the Dal Negro cards, especially when they performed so well in the three-day trial where we tested the playing cards for handling, durability and quality.”
ICM CEO Wolfram Dahlström said: “We have supplied Casino Helsinki since 2005 and it has been a successful collaboration. Signing this exclusive deal makes us proud and we are looking forward to maintaining and enhancing our collaboration. Since we first started working with Dal Negro we have appreciated their products and swift service on both artwork and production.”
The president of Dal Negro, Francesco Dal Negro, added: “We are very honoured to begin a partnership with RAY and we thank our distributor ICM. Having won the three-day trial is an acknowledgment of our continuous efforts in research and development in order to keep on improving the quality level of our playing cards.”
