The Corona Casino in Phu Quoc island is scheduled to open for business tomorrow, becoming the first in Vietnam to admit locals on to the floor under a three-year pilot scheme.

The casino is being managed by Netherlands-based Upffinity Gaming Management, which signed an exclusive management accord in May 2017.

The casino forms part of the Corona Integrated Resort which includes a Radisson Blue hotel, a Vin Oasis hotel, a Safari and Amusement park, convention centre, theatre and shopping experience.

The casino was designed by Steelman Partners and consists of 18,800sq.m of gaming space with 100 tables and 1,000 electronic gaming machines, three restaurants, two specialty bars and lounges.

The opening and pre-opening was managed by Peter Keijzer, former general manager of Holland Casino in Amsterdam, the biggest in the Netherlands.
