Imperial Pacific has been given the green light to proceed with the construction of the Grand Mariana Casino and Hotel Resort as part of a $7bn investment in Saipan.
The company said it had received a “notice to proceed” from the Division of Coastal Resources Management of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. As a result, it began construction on July 15 and expects completion within 16 months.
The resort in Garapan will have a total of 254 rooms and gaming facilities. The company is also planning an integrated resort with about 4,000 rooms.
