Revenue from Chile’s casinos hit CLP47bn (£39.9m) in June, showing stability year-on-year in the Latin American market.

The revenue was down by 0.1 per cent.
Tax contributions from casinos reached CLP16.6bn (£14.1m) in June, up 0.2 per cent year-on-year.
The gambling regulator in Chile, Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego, said CLP7.2bn (£6.1m) of the June tax corresponded to the specific tax on gambling, allocated to regional governments and municipalities for the financing of development works.
A further CLP7bn (£5.9m) in tax for June was associated with the payment of VAT on gaming revenues, with the remaining CLP2.5bn (£2.1m) being generated by the entrance tax to gambling halls.
