Casinos Poland’s majority shareholder, Century Casinos, has announced its second quarter results.

The company, based in Colorado, US, has eight casinos in its home state, Alberta, Canada, and the UK. It also operates on cruise ships.

Its second quarter results showed an operating revenue of $52.4m, up 32 per cent from  the same quarter of 2018. Earnings were $2.6m, up 161 per cent. Adjusted EBITDA was $6.7m, up 44 per cent.

Said Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, co-CEOs: “Excluding non-recurring expenses related to the write-down in connection with the Glory Sea casino, our adjusted EBITDA was $7.6m, or 62 per cent higher. The newly opened Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is performing to our expectations.”

In June of this year the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the operations of Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, Lady Luck Caruthersville and Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort from Eldorado Resorts for $107m.
