Mark Campbell, a former spokesman for International Leisure Development, the promoter of Gran Scala casino project in Spain, is facing life in prison for the murder of his wife, Aristocrat marketing executive Olga Pleguezuelos, on October 19, 2009, in London.

He will stand trial before a jury in the Brent Court next month. The prosecutors and Scotland Yard accuse him of killing his wife, punishable with life in prison in England. He is also accused of acting with premeditation.

In his statements to Scotland Yard, Campbell confessed to the crime. Now, however, his defence lawyer says he was provoked into making that confession.
