A cycle ride by a trio from Blueprint, the Gauselmann Group subsidiary in the UK, has raised over £16,000 for charity.

Nicola Wallbank and Andy Hall, both key account managers, and Gavin Wright, sales manager, cycled 425 miles from their offices in Newark, England, to the Gauselmann headquarters in Espelkamp, Germany, to raise the money.

The Team Blueprint effort will go towards their £20,000 target to aid a charity close to their offices in Newark, Nottinghamshire – the Children’s Bereavement Centre. The ride took them four days.

The Children’s Bereavement Centre helps children aged three to 18 with the grieving process brought on by death or terminal illness in families.

Said Wallbank: “We have seen the work that the centre does in the local area and it is a cause close to our hearts. The cycle ride was tough but it brought us all closer together as a team.”

The team’s itinerary included an overnight ferry and consisted of two days of cycling on UK soil, followed by the longest ride on day three, crossing The Netherlands to the German border with day four seeing the team cycle almost 115 miles to complete the challenge.
