Slovenia-based slot management systems specialist Advansys has won the Supplier of the Year award in the category of International Casino Equipment Manufacturer at the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo in Sofia, Bulgaria, held from September 30-October 2.
The company received the prestigious award at a ceremony during the BEGE show. The award is given in different categories and recognises people, companies and products of distinction each year with special reference to the Bulgarian market.
In the case of the Advansys award, it was aimed at companies and producers of casino management systems which have consistently dominated the gaming field in the Balkan region during 2008.
The Advansys award citation indicated that the company has growing presence in the Balkans and is one of the main suppliers of IT systems in the global gaming market.
At the heart of the award is the SlotScanner, a modular system which can take in all aspects of slot management, from accounting and cage, player tracking and jackpots. The company has connected four casinos in Bulgaria in the Casino Solutions group, with a multi-site network.
A cashless module will follow shortly in the same casinos by the end of the year. Contracts have also been signed for seven new locations in the Balkans market.
