Fimalac is to buy hotel group Accor's stake in French casino operator Groupe Lucien Barrière.

Following the sale, an agreement between the three companies will see the Desseigne-Barrière family hold 60 per cent of the group’s capital and Fimalac will hold 40 per cent.

The sale is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2011, once approval has been received form various regulatory bodies.

"I am particularly proud of the road ahead and I would like to thank Accor, its leaders and teams for their support," said Dominique Desseigne, chief executive officer. "I’ve made the choice of a partner who shares our strategic vision and who has care of protecting the identity and values of a family group, created by Lucien Barrière more than 100 years ago."
