Italian live gaming equipment maker Abbiati has entered into a joint venture with the leading distribution company in the region, RGB.
"You can’t handle Asia from Europe, so we had to find a partner," said Abbiati’s Terry Clarke. "We needed someone strong and they don’t come much stronger in this part of the world than RGB." The joint venture will be badged RGB Abbiati.
"We have now got RFID chips, laser roulette wheels and high-tech displays for this market," added Clark. "It is still early days, but everything is coming together nicely.
"People have yet to fully realise the strength of RFID technology in this industry. In 10 years’ time, all casinos will have it. It provides total control and accountability."
