The Macau government has granted Sands China more time to complete the development of a parcel of land in Cotai, Macau.
The company, a subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands, was originally given a deadline of April 2013 to complete the development of a casino resort on Parcel 3.
However, the company applied for an extension early this year. The Macau government’s Secretary for Transportation and Public Works has given the company until April 2016 to complete the project.
In a statement, the company said it would be notified by the government about the penalty for delaying construction.
