The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has announced plans for licensing online gambling.

The regulator has started accepting letters of intent and applications for the appropriate -i-gaming licences. Those who acquire a licence will not be able to accept customers from the country. This also includes Filipino citizens who travel abroad as well as foreign nationals in the Philippines on holiday or working.

They also won’t be able to accept players from countries that have banned their citizens from participating in online gaming, excluding almost all of the Asian market. This comes a month after PAGCOR announced it was going to begin the licensing process for online gaming.
