The newly founded 100 per cent subsidiary of Novomatic's Austrian Gaming Industries, AGI Argentina, will dramatically accelerate the expansion of Novomatic in South America.

Laureano Bonorino has assumed the position of head of sales with the new company. AGI Argentina will be another significant hub in the constantly expanding network of Novomatic sales and service centres across the South American continent and is the first overseas branch in Argentina.

With headquarters in Buenos Aires, the company will cater for an increasing demand in the Argentinean market. Bonorino has vast experience in the international gaming industry with companies such as Unidesa Gaming and WMS.

"I feel honoured by this assignment and am convinced that I will be able to contribute to the group’s successful expansion in the South American market by establishing a strong and effective local representation," he said. "AGI Argentina will offer excellent sales and after-sales service as well as technical support for our regional customers and partners."

Jens Halle, managing director of AGI, said: "Our new subsidiary was founded to satisfy the constantly growing demand for our products and services in the Argentine market and to guarantee the best possible support for our local customers and partners."
