The ‘oddball’ jurisdiction that perhaps isn’t.

Belgium

THE street operators in Belgium don’t think that their regulations are in any way oddball.

• It is one of the few countries of the world that actually welcomes the bingo table – once banned in so many countries because it was regarded as a “hard” gambling device.

• Belgium does not allow AWP machines in its pubs. Instead it has a strange little device that gives prizes for a gamble – but in the form of tickets to spend over the bar.
