Job Description

Our client requires a Fraud Strategy & Insights Analyst (Malta) to assist the Fraud Strategy & Insights Manager (Dublin) with the design, development and execution of a fraud strategy that positions PPB as a market leader in the online & security space.

Reporting directly to the Fraud Strategy & Insights Manager (Dublin), the Fraud Strategy & Insights Analyst will have responsibility for Fraud project implementations, vendor reviews, new tool sourcing, analysis of fraud trends, KPI Reporting, pre and post implementation business case reviews, and effectiveness of our workflow tools.

The Fraud Strategy & Insights Analyst will have strong subject matter expertise in the area of Fraud and Customer Verification, have the customer at the heart of all that they do whilst maintaining a strategic, “big picture” view on things and be passionate about achieving excellence and continuously improving our ways of working.

Responsibilities Include:

    Assist the Fraud Strategy & Insights Manager to design, develop and execute the Fraud and Customer Verification strategy for the combined PPB Fraud team
    Development, prioritisation, oversight, and delivery of the Fraud & Security Project Roadmap
    Support the Fraud Operations Teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver key process improvement initiatives and projects across each function.
    Support the Fraud Strategy & Insights Manager in future proofing our Fraud & Security infrastructure, internally against the wider business strategy and externally against changes/new trends in the political, economic, social and/or technological environment
    Proactive monitoring of the market for new technologies and tools that may improve our processes and/or ability to achieve our objectives
    Support the Fraud Operations Team Lead (Dublin) & Fraud Operations Team Leads (Malta) by providing insights on the effectiveness and appropriateness of our workflow tools.
    Support all Fraud Teams with reporting capabilities for KPI & MI metric reporting
    Collaborate with the the Fraud Operations Team Lead (Dublin) & Fraud Operations Team Leads (Malta) to engage with key stakeholders both internal and external to the business to minimise fraud losses within the business’s risk appetite whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
    To analyse and report on fraud trends and create an efficient feedback loop to all Fraud Teams
    Develop advanced fraud dashboard visualisations to track and highlight fraud trends
    Development of analytical capabilities to allow for analysis and improvement through the use of analytics, research, sampling, etc.

    Manage and oversee all real time fraud tools to ensure effective alerts/reports are filtered to the Fraud Detection Teams with minimum false positive ratios
    Support the Fraud Management Team with the key integration priorities

Essential Skills and Experience

    Demonstrable experience of fraud operations or strategic experience ideally in a gaming, financial service or insurance environment.
    Strong understanding of the drivers of security and fraud within an online business.

    Numerate with an analytical mind.
    Project management experience.

    Highly developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain working relationships with the wider business.
    Ability to manage stakeholders in pressure situations to deliver results to tight deadlines.
    Demonstrable experience of driving efficiency (including cost, use of technology, etc.) whilst delivering a “best in class” customer experience
    Powerful influencing and problem solving skills with proven track record.
    Strong commercial acumen with a history of adding value across the wider business and a track record of developing flexible solutions in fraud and risk to changing business needs.
    Strong Microsoft office skills including PowerPoint & Excel

Desirable Skills and Experience

    Good knowledge of SQL and database reporting
    Experience using reporting tools such as Qlikview or Tableau

    1+ years Fraud Operations/Strategic experience in a Fraud or Security Ecommerce role
    Proven results in fraud efficiency and productivity
    Good understanding of key legislation, regulatory bodies and best practice deployed within the fraud specialism.
    Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology discipline.
