Senior QA Engineer

My client, one of the world’s leading entertainment providers, is looking for Senior QA Engineers to join its team in Manila, Philippines.



The role will be hybrid in the office. You will do Automation and Manual testing.

• Test Case Creation and Execution: 

• Develop and execute test cases according to the established test strategy. 

• Analysis and Refinement Contribution: 

• Contribute during the analysis and refinement process to ensure features are delivered with an appropriate test approach. 

• Release Quality Assurance: 

• Ensure each release meets business requirements and delivers high quality to the customer. 

• Testing Strategy Contribution: 

• Support and contribute to the ongoing Testing Strategy at the area level. 
   

• Quality Advocacy: 

• Champion and consistently enhance quality within the team by promoting quality principles and best practices. 

• Quality Ownership Support: 

• Support the development team in taking ownership of the quality process, ensuring quality is built into the development lifecycle. 

• Continuous Improvement Advocacy: 

• Promote continuous improvement in the software delivery process based on quality metrics. 

• Communication and Influence: 

• Communicate and influence quality principles effectively within an agile environment to mitigate risks associated with releases. 

Required Experience:

• ISTQB Foundation Certified or equivalent   

• Team collaboration using Agile methodologies

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Have the ability to come up with test strategies to test full stack development

• Experience in testing both front-end and back-end applications

• Ability to understand the system architecture and identify the areas that needs to be tested

• Understanding of continuous delivery principles like feature switch, trunk based development

• Comfortable with different types of testing approaches (exploratory, functional, automated, regression, etc)

• A clear understanding of test pyramid

• Experience with automation test frameworks like WebDriver IO

• Good practical experience of defect management tools and lifecycle, JIRA being a preference

Desirable experience:

• A good understanding of microservices architecture.

• Clear understanding of source control management preferably GitLab.

• Knowledge of build/integration pipelines such as Jenkins, GoCD, etc.

• Strong practical experience and understanding of writing test scripts using BDD syntax.

• Experience using Charles, Postman, Cucumber or similar technologies.

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, ...)

• Experience with conducting Root Cause Analysis
