The UK's coin-op industry celebrated in style with a summer ball held at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club recently.
The event, which raised money for the bacta Charitable Trust, featured a set from comedian Kev Orkian and live music from band Sway, donated by Reflex Gaming.
It was well attended by many of the UK's leading companies from the sector, including UDC, Reflex, Blueprint, Merkur and Suzohapp, among others.
A charity auction was held with prizes such as two tickets to see Arsenal FC, donated by Gabino Stergides of Electrocoin; six tickets to see Manchester United in the Champions League, donated by David Purvis of Blueprint; a meal at the Hippodrome Casino, Leicester Square, donated by Simon Thomas of the Hippodrome and a week in a villa in the south of France, donated by Stephanie Norbury.
Steve Hawkins, chairman of the bacta Charitable Trust and CEO of SX leisure, said: "A huge thank you to all our sponsors and those who donated auction and raffle prizes - your support is massively appreciated."
The money raised from the event is to be donated to the Rays of Sunshine charity, bacta's charity partner, which works with sick children and their families.
