Taiwanese company Injoy has a new and considerably less expensive way to make dedicated video games move – or at least their seats.

Injoy Motion

In the company’s new Dido Kart Air hydraulics are not used.

The new control function gives all of the same features as hydraulics but work from pneumatics which is, says the company, very substantially less expensive.

There is a two-axis interactive motion base to the game but the seat itself independently lifts the player up and down and tilts coinciding with the action on the monitor.

The game itself involves six animals racing one another in cars and the player chooses a character and races around five tracks. In the final round the player can choose the track and decide whether to challenge it in darkness or in daylight.
