The Zip World team is preparing a planning application to develop and run an Adventure Hotel in Llanrwst, Wales.

Zip World to build hotel in Wales

The Zip World Adventure Hotel would be a 75-bedroom hotel on land at Parc Tŷ Gwyn, involving significant investment and bringing jobs to the town.

The application includes proposals for a slide from the top to the ground floor, an external climbing wall and virtual reality pods.

The North Wales company said it will meet a need for hotel accommodation in the area as it booms from adrenaline attractions like Surf Snowdonia and Zip World’s own zipwire, giant trampoline and tree-top facilities.

A public consultation on the plans was launched on Monday and will run until July 10. The company will then submit a planning application to Conwy Council, with construction starting in 2018 if consent is granted.

“We believe that the Zip World Adventure Hotel would be an amazing base for people wanting to stay in North Wales to explore the area and visit the many local attractions that there are around us,” said a company spokesperson.
