X2 Computing, a provider of mobile tablet solutions for bingo halls, has been acquired by specialist computer manufacturer Captec.

The company has tablet devices in use in Gala, Mecca and Castle Bingo properties, as well as several other independent operators, including GameTech in the US. Over 20,000 of these devices, which offer electronic bingo games, are now in play on a daily basis in the UK.
Following the deal, X2 will be branded as a trading division of Captec and will represent the mobile computing section of the business.
It will serve both national and international customers from its office in the UK, while US operations will be supported by its office in Virginia, as well as Captec’s office in Ontario, Canada.
