Construction has started on Vietnam’s largest theme park, the US$1bn VinWonders located on Hai Phong’s Vu Yen Island.
According to news site VnExpress, VinWonders forms part of an entertainment, housing and eco-park project. It is to be built where three rivers meet and contain an ecological space and transport links.
Groundbreaking took place at the weekend, attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The new theme park boasts six zones and the development also includes an outdoor water park, while a safari is also due to be built.
