Inflatable water park developer Wibit has earned a “negative award” from anti-plagiarism company Aktion Plagiarius at Ambiente, the consumer goods trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.

Aktion Plagiarius awards the prize to manufacturers and distributors that may have fallen victim to plagiarism and counterfeiting. The aim is to raise awareness of the issue and raise public awareness about “unscrupulous commercial practices.”
Wibit was recognised by the company having potentially had its Wibit Sports concept copied by a Chinese company.
“Wibit has been fighting against such counterfeiting for many years but this case proves to be particularly brash,” the company said. “Not only were the individual products copied, but also the entire structure of the park, as well as the image and video material, including sound.
“Products that copy appearance have serious deficiencies in terms of safety and also in terms of the installation of a water park.”
