The full reopening of Llandudno Pier in Wales, following severe storm damage, took place last week with a positive response from the local community.

Some work is still being carried out on kiosks damaged in the storm and on the Happy Valley entrance to the pier, but the attraction is now fully operational and is planning live music entertainment at its Oscar’s Bar this Easter.
At the same time, another pier, also hit by the weather, is planning expansion. The Mumbles Pier at the other end of Wales, near Swansea, is to reopen its Ferris wheel that was so popular last year. Two other rides are due to be installed in time for Easter.
