One of the Middle East’s largest cinema operators, VOX Cinemas, has opened a new IMAX theatre at its Mall of the Emirates location in Dubai, UAE.
Owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, the new experience utilises IMAX technology to offer the latest films in a luxurious cinema setting.
The new theatre features Oma Cinema premium pod seating, part of VOX Cinemas’ phased upgrade programme, as well as tiered stadium-style seating, which ensures a clear view from every seat.
Inside the auditorium are seven exclusive Oma Cinema pods, which has been developed under the vision of French architect Pierre Chican. These pods draw inspiration from traditional theatres, featuring a series of tiered balconies that bring audiences closer to the screen in a vertical arrangement for a more intimate viewing experience. Inside the pods are reclining seats, pillows, blankets and full waiter service.
