The tour will take in two innovative new entertainment centres and will help those registering to improve their knowledge and understanding of what is necessary in the "new normal" as the industry comes out of the pandemic.

Taking place on January 20 and 21, 2021, the Virtual "Ride Along", as FEU has named it, will start at Fourth Dimension Fun Center in Frederick, Maryland, US, a turnkey installation due to launch in December of this year.

The business model makes use of a fully-outfitted 37,560sq.ft building and has 16 lanes of boutique bowling, a multi-level laser tag arena, guest customisable and interactive escape rooms, a full amusement arcade, interactive motion theatre, enclosed laser attraction and a dynamic bistro and sports bar concept.

The second stop will be at Xtreme Play Adventure Park, Danbury, Connecticut, US, opening in January 2021. This is a 30,000sq.ft, multi-level venue with many high-intensity attractions, including VR experiences, ninja warrior courses, multi-level ropes courses, climbing walls and an immersive laser tag arena. There is also a three-level soft play, bumper kart track, XD motion theatre and a large gaming arcade. There is a pizza-based café with speciality beverage programming at both levels of the facility.

“We will detail, compare and contrast the development challenges that each operator has faced, along with their solutions and strategies for launch," said the organisers. "Our topic list will include each operator’s vision for the facility, how they crafted the business case and how they navigated the real estate selection process.

"We will also address the philosophy behind selecting consumer targets, attraction portfolio selection and overall facility design/theme. Finally, we’ll turn our attention to each venue’s operating protocols, including its use of technology and its commitment to hiring and training staff.”
