Thirty-two thousand amusement industry professionals are expected through the door of the 2017 IAAPA Attractions Expo that opens at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, US, this morning.

They were steeling themselves to walk the nine miles of aisles of the show at which over 1,000 companies are exhibiting a range of amusement equipment, designed for theme parks and family entertainment centres principally. The show, covering over half a million square feet, is expected to see 21,000 buyers from 100 countries.

One of the biggest sectors is the coin-operated games and associated products for the arcades and FEC business and all of the industry’s biggest names in both the supply sector and in operating are expected there.

The entire industry is estimated to be worth $39.5bn in terms of annual revenues. The show, which has a strong seminars and workshops programme attached to it, will run for four days, finishing on Friday.
