US

Iowa

An FEC in the state capital of Des Moines has recently completed a 10,000sq.ft extension to its existing facilities.

Great Escape - The Ultimate Experience is using the new space to house a further 37 arcade machines, including a Chaos Jump VR platform and a new 3,200sq.ft laser-tag arena. A new redemption counter will also offer the latest prizes.

Following a previous rebranding and refurbishment of the bowling facilities to include VIP boutique bowling area and a restaurant, the newly completed growth phase will open on September 27.

Kansas

Incredible Pizza Company, based in Springfield, Missouri, has purchased the PowerPlay family entertainment centre in Shawnee, Kansas. A US$4m renovation of the 73,000sq.ft building is under way.

With an opening projected for February 2020, Incredible Pizza - Kansas City will have 14 rides, attractions and over 100 video and arcade games. The indoor facility will include bumper cars, go-karts, a laser maze and laser tag, in addition to the Scrambler, La Bamba and The Whip rides.

The renovation includes an interior design to reflect the family-themed rooms prevalent throughout the company’s other 10 stores. The Diner, Family Room, High School Gym and the Starlight Theatre will all be themed dining areas with seating capacities ranging from 100 - 300 people.

Georgia

Urban Air Adventure Parks is bringing wall-to-wall trampolines and aerial sports to Augusta in the spring of 2020.

The new location will provide over 46,485sq.ft of activities, with the centrepiece being an expansive trampoline arena. The chain’s signature Urban Warrior Course and Battle Beam will also feature alongside an Urban Air Sky Rider indoor coaster.
