A former golf course is to be turned into a recreation centre at Gastonia, North Carolina, US.
The 148-acre site, which was once sold for a road project that was subsequently abandoned, would be turned into camping sites, walking rails, fishing zones, golf practice holes, ropes course, zip-lining and other attractions.
The former Linwood Springs Golf Course has been a subject of community surveys for over a year and now the resulting plans are going to the city council reports the Gaston Gazette.
