A call to action has been made by the US trade association, AAMA, asking its members to directly appeal to their federal, state, country and local elected representatives to ask for fair play for the arcade and amusement machine industry, as states begin to permit the reopening of some businesses.

The association says that it is aware that there are instances where restaurants, retail stores, other businesses and even state-sponsored gaming devices are being permitted to reopen, but amusement games and arcades are not.

It wants members to "make their voices heard in the halls of their state government where these unilateral restrictions are still being imposed."

It has issued tips for connecting with local and state politicians and legislators and has even prepared a suggested letter that members can add to their own headed notepaper and then where to address them. If they are granted a meeting, the AAMA members have guidance on how to be prepared.
