UNIS had its two-player Pirate’s Hook and its new water-based game, Panning for Gold, at Betson’s booth.

The company said that the games attracted a lot of attention from buyers interested in updating their locations and adding an element of originality to their line-ups.

Panning for Gold is a four-player family game that harks back to the American gold rush. Players use the controls to scoop up as many gold nuggets as possible and dump their treasure onto the weighing platform. The heavier the nuggets, the more tickets they win. The nuggets cycle around a flowing stream that is safely contained within the cabinet. The game uses a self-recycling water system complete with water filter and pump, making it easy to maintain.

The show connects professionals from various segments of the amusement industry for two days of networking and educational seminars.

UNIS will have Panning for Gold at the Amusement Expo show in Dallas, Texas on March 15-16.
