The ultimate family floating adventure is provided by the new Symphony of the Seas cruise liner, introduced into the Royal Caribbean International line.

Symphony

The ship was launched at the St Nazaire shipyard in France. At 228,081 tons, the liner will house 5,518 guests and it will contain the tallest slide at sea with the Ultimate Abyss, plus Royal Caribbean’s first glow-in-the-dark laser tag game, Battle for Planet Z. It will accommodate two teams of eight players.

Also among the entertainment highlights of the new ship is Escape the Rubicon, a race against the clock for teams in the Rubicon submarine, a custom-built escape room.

Meanwhile, two other cruise lines have news this week of attractions onboard. Norwegian Cruise Line’s newly-launched Bliss will hold 4,000 passengers and features a two-storey race track, galactic laser tag and a 180-degree observation lounge.

Meanwhile, Carnival Cruise Line’s new Panorama, with a capacity of 3,500 guests, hosts SkyRide, a kind of bicycle-in-the-sky attraction, plus a WaterWorks aqua park.
