Alterface, the immersive attractions developer, has rolled out its interactive Popcorn Revenge dark ride as turnkey solution.

Turnkey Popcorn Revenge rolls out

This follows the ride’s launch at Walibi Park, Belgium, in May.

Popcorn Revenge accommodates around 600 people per hour within a footprint of 500sq.m.

It uses a non-linear ride concept, which Alterface calls an erratic ride. Vehicles take different routes with scene duration and gameplay levels adapting to individual score dynamics. The proprietary popcorn IP is implemented in different scenes across the ride’s cinema theatre theme, shaping up as pirates, superheroes, horror, space and many other characters.

Proprietary merchandise is also included with the offering.

Benoit Cornet, CEO and founder of Alterface, said: "The Popcorn Revenge intellectual property provides access to a wide range of merchandising products. Profits are shared with the site and a significant portion is being reinvested in the IP itself, which eventually also benefits the park. This IP is a constantly evolving asset, both in media and in merchandising, leading to more brand appeal. We believe this is the best way to secure an evergreen media-based attraction."

The company will be at IAAPA Expo Europe in Paris, France, from September 16-19.
