During the opening day of the IAAPA show in Orlando, Florida, major digital interactive attractions manufacturer Triotech announced that it is to install a new 4D interactive dark ride at Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park, California, US, as the venue celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.
The new attraction will be called Knott’s Bear-y Tales. Triotech will design the attraction, the scenic theming and produce the animation and gaming system.
Said Jon Storbeck, ive president and general manager at Knott’s Berry Farm: “The return of Knott's Bear-y Tales is perfect for the anniversary because it brings back one of the park’s most nostalgic and beloved attractions in an innovative 4D dark ride format that will delight an entirely new generation of fans.”
It comes 34 years after the original adventure of the same name and will feature Boysen Bear and Girlsen Bear travelling to the country fair and a story surrounding their boysenberry pies. Guests will use vehicles equipped with jellyblasters in the attraction.
